PAK Stars Azam Khan & Saim Ayub Denied NOC for CPL After Disappointing T20 World Cup 2024

Azam Khan and Saim Ayub NOC Denied

Azam Khan and Saim Ayub, two highly-regarded young T20 batters from Pakistan, have been denied NOC for the CPL 2024 following their underwhelming performance in the T20 World Cup. According to PCB policy, centrally and domestically contracted players are restricted from participating in more than two overseas leagues annually.

Both players, retained by their respective CPL teams, now need replacements for the season starting on August 30th. The PCB can refuse an NOC to manage players’ fitness and workload or if domestic duties take priority. Last season, Ayub, known for his power-hitting, played for Guyana alongside Khan.

Despite their domestic success, both players have struggled internationally. The PCB hopes they will improve their national performance, anticipating significant changes in the Pakistan team after their group stage exit in the T20 World Cup 2024.
