Chloe Tryon returns

Allrounder Chloe Tryon returns to South Africa’s T20I squad for the upcoming series in India after recovering from a back injury that sidelined her since April.

South Africa will play three T20Is in Chennai on July 5, 7, and 9. Delmi Tucker and Nondumiso Shangase will leave the tour after the one-off Test in Chennai.

“Chloe brings a wealth of experience to the team, and we eagerly anticipate her return to the field,” said interim head coach Dillon du Preez. “These T20Is will allow us to explore options before final preparations for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.”

SA women’s convenor of selectors, Clinton du Preez, emphasized their focus on maintaining consistency while building on team strengths and cohesion. “Our approach aims to refine strategies and enhance dynamics, crucial for the T20 World Cup. Chloe Tryon’s return is significant, and we trust this squad will perform with the determination and excellence that defines Proteas Women cricket.”
