India T20 World Cup win

Pakistan pacer highlights need for team improvements

Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi praised Team India for their performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa in Barbados. India clinched a 7-run victory over the Proteas, earning their second T20 World Cup title after 17 years.

Afridi, speaking to reporters in London, said, “I watched the match and enjoyed it. Both teams played well, and on the day, the team that handles pressure wins. India played a good brand of cricket and deserved to win.”

Afridi emphasized the need for Pakistan to address their shortcomings after being eliminated in the league stage. “Strong teams compete in the World Cup after going through a process. We need to correct a few things, and if we work hard, results will follow,” he added.
