Rafael Espinoza vs. Sergio Chirino

Espinoza (24-0, 20 KOs), standing tall at 6’1″, shocked many last year by defeating WBO 126-lb champion Robeisy Ramirez via a 12-round majority decision on December 9th in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Espinoza overcame a knockdown in the fifth round to dominate the rest of the fight, even dropping Ramirez in the 12th to secure the victory. Before this win, Espinoza was largely unknown to fans, making his upset of the two-time Olympic gold medalist even more surprising.
