The box office at Mary Brown’s Centre has seen a surge in activity over the last day, but not for the usual reasons.
Instead of bustling with ticket sales, arena staff have been occupied with processing refunds for loyal fans holding tickets to now-cancelled Newfoundland Growlers games.
Following the ECHL board of governors’ decision to cease operations, the team’s fate was sealed on Tuesday.
Despite efforts, the ownership failed to secure a new buyer by the league’s April 2nd deadline.
Refunds are exclusively available for tickets purchased directly through the box office or the Mary Brown’s Centre website.
Those who made purchases with cash or debit are encouraged to visit the box office between noon and 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, to claim their refunds.
For credit card transactions, refunds will be automatically processed within the next three to five business days.
