Pakistan’s cricket team is all set to embark on a thrilling tour of South Africa, starting on December 2nd, as confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The tour will feature an exciting lineup of matches across all formats, including three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests.

The T20I series will kick off between December 10th and 14th, with matches scheduled in Durban, Centurion, and Johannesburg. Following this, the ODIs will take place from December 17th to 22nd in Paarl, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. The tour will culminate with two ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 matches, set to be held in Centurion from December 26th to 30th and in Cape Town from January 3rd to 7th.

Before departing for South Africa, the national team will face Australia in a series of three ODIs and three T20Is from November 4th to 18th. Upon their return, Pakistan will engage in a three-nation ODI tournament at home, followed by the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Highlighting the packed cricket calendar, the PCB revealed that prior to the tours of Australia and South Africa, Pakistan will host Bangladesh and England for two and three Tests, respectively. This sequence of events will ensure an intense sporting spectacle, featuring a minimum of seven Tests, ten ODIs, and six T20Is from August 2024 to January 2025.

Pakistan’s history in South Africa reflects a competitive spirit, with memorable victories in Test cricket, notably in Durban in 1997-98 and Port Elizabeth in 2006-2007. In ODIs, Pakistan has had its share of successes, winning two of the last three series. With a close head-to-head record in T20Is, the upcoming tour promises riveting encounters between the two cricketing powerhouses.
