Pakistan Commences Training Ahead of Ireland Tour

Pakistan cricket team, Ireland tour

Pakistan’s national cricket team commenced their training sessions ahead of the upcoming T20I series against Ireland, set to kick off on May 10th. The players bound for series in Ireland and England actively participated in physical conditioning, fielding drills, and net practice during the initial training session held on Saturday.

The training camp, currently underway, is scheduled to continue until Monday, May 6th, before the team’s departure for Ireland. Notably, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan are absent from the camp as they are fulfilling commitments with Warwickshire in the County Championship in England. They will join the squad directly in Ireland.

The forthcoming tour encompasses a three-match T20I series against Ireland, all to be staged at Clontarf in Dublin on May 10, 12, and 14, starting at 3 PM local time. This series, followed by another four T20Is in England, serves as vital preparation for Pakistan ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, slated to be held in the West Indies and the United States.
