Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has made headlines with his comments on the recent appointment of Babar Azam as the white-ball skipper. The 29-year-old cricketer has been reinstated as captain, taking over from Shaheen Afridi, who led the team during a single T20I series against New Zealand in January 2023.

Afridi expressed his surprise at the decision made by the experienced members of the selection committee, suggesting that Mohammad Rizwan would have been a more suitable choice if change was deemed necessary.
