Sunrisers Hyderabad set a new record for the highest team total in IPL history, reaching 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This surpasses their previous record of 277 against Mumbai Indians earlier this season.
Travis Head led the charge with a stunning 102 off just 41 balls, including nine boundaries and eight sixes. Heinrich Klaasen also made a significant contribution with a rapid 67 off 31 deliveries, featuring seven sixes.
Abdul Samad provided a late onslaught with 37 runs off only 10 balls, further boosting SRH’s total. RCB’s bowlers struggled, with Reece Topley conceding 68 runs in his four overs and Lockie Ferguson giving away 52 runs in just 24 deliveries.

In the powerplay, SRH got off to a flying start, reaching 76/0 in the first six overs, thanks to Head’s explosive innings and Abhishek Sharma’s handy contribution of 23 runs off 15 balls. The RCB bowlers, including Topley, Ferguson, Yash Dayal, and Will Jacks, faced a relentless onslaught as SRH capitalized on the early overs’ field restrictions.
