n a recent revelation, sources have disclosed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has extended an invitation to former New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman, Luke Ronchi, for the position of coaching the national team. Ronchi, currently serving as an assistant coach for New Zealand, has asked for some time to deliberate on the offer to lead the Men in Green, according to insiders.
This move comes in light of Ronchi’s previous refusal of a coaching offer from the PCB, which led to the appointment of Bradburn to the coaching role. Notably, Ronchi boasts experience representing both Australia and New Zealand in cricket.

The development aligns with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s recent remarks regarding the board’s endeavors to finalize a coaching panel ahead of the forthcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand, slated to commence on April 18.
The coaching positions became vacant following the reassignment of Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Puttick to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore due to role changes in November 2023. Their departures were formalized in January this year.
